English introduction to PCMN

PCMN, short for Parachutisten Centrum Midden Nederland, is located at Hilversum Airfield, in the middle of the Netherlands. PCMN is a non-commercial skydiving club that is run by volunteer instructors, tandem masters, video people and pilots. The club has approximately 250 members, both experienced as well as inexperienced jumpers; staticliners, freeflyers, formation skydivers and canopy relative workers. About 5000 jumps are made at our four different drop zones every year, and between 100 and 150 jumpers obtain a static line license.

KNVvL

PCMN is a member of the Royal Netherlands Aeronautical Association (or KNVvL in Dutch). For more information about parachuting and skydiving in the Netherlands you can visit the KNVvL website.

The facilities

PCMN has excellent facilities including a hangar where we store our equipment and pack our parachutes. We have a nice bar and kitchen, showers and toilet facilities. There is a large room with 15 beds for those who want to spend the night, to be there bright and early the next morning (or sleep off those extra beers you shouldn't have had the night before). The fenced off terrace is the perfect place for your family, friends, kids or dogs, to watch all activities from a safe distance, or where you can have a cool drink in between jumps on a hot summer day.

Our airplanes

The club owns two airplanes: one Cessna 182 for max 4 jumpers (right) and a Cessna 206 Turbine carrying 6 jumpers (left), which will take you up to 12.000 feet within 20 minutes.

Jump Courses

We offer two types of beginners jump courses: Static Line and AFF. After a day and a half of ground training you will make your first jump. You will be supervised by our qualified instructors on every jump, they will train you for your first free fall, and guide you through the requirements for the international A-license.

The costs for the Static Line course is 335 Euro. This includes the ground training, 5 jumps, and use of all equipment. After your first 5 jumps you just pay for the ride in the plane and the use of your gear.

The costs for the AFF course is 1.340,- Euro. This includes the ground training, 19 jumps (this number includes instructor jumps), and use of all equipment.

See the contact info page on how to get more information, or to register for the courses.

Tandem

If you want to experience free fall without the hassle of a course, a tandem jump is the answer! Hooked up to an instructor you can experience everthing a skydiver experiences. The instructor will explain the procedures to you, and 20 minutes later you will be falling towards the Earth at 180 km/h. The instructor is responsible for deployment, steering and landing of the canopy. All you have to do is: enjoy!
